Enterococcus faecalis vs Staphylococcus aureus

Enterococcus faecalis and Staphylococcus aureus colonies on sheep blood agar. Non-hemolytic, non-pigmented colonies
of E.faecalis and beta-hemolytic, yellow pigmented colonies of S.aureus. Some strains of E.faecalis are alpha-hemolytic.
Beta-hemolytic strains are rare. Cultivation 24 hours, 37°C in an aerobic atmosphere.
